artist

ABOUT ME

Visual Art possesses one important quality: it constantly follows the life and is constantly updated. So, each generation of artists interpreting the achievements of their predecessors, is making its items that reflect life in its new manifestations.

Elena Paronitti is as primary profession an architect that has always been involved in Art environment working for Public Administration or in an entertainment industry.

When she was a student in Artistic High School she used to design wood carving motives for the furnitures in the family factory. In the same years she was committed to paint reproductions with views of Rome that were sold to tourists in Piazza Navona, one of the most beautiful places in Rome.

She has always considered painting as a hobby but the passion has increased during the years.

In fact, people started noticing her work and asked for specific products, encouraging Elena.

So what was just a hobby was transformed in a real job.

Elena has been travelling in the last years around the world, living in France (Paris), Algeria (Algers) and now in Mozambique.

During this time, she continued her hobby and felt the necessity to know more about the artistic techniques so she did several stages with international artists and got a Master Degree in China Painting.

During the 4 years in Algeria she was also collaborating with local artists and participating to several exhibitions and even competition where she has been noticed and prized.

Her main inspiration is nature and portraits but a lot of Arabic arabesques appear in her lately productions.

In the past the main material was Porcelain and Ceramic, but Elena could also use any kind of support for her paintings.

Recently she is experimenting with pastels so you can take a look at her latest pastel artworks.

The day she got her Degree in China Painting

MY ARABESQUES ON PORCELAIN

During her stay in Algeria she had the chance to meet the best ceramic Masters and to learn a lot about Arabic culture.

In Alger she started to paint on ceramic and learnt the Algerian technique for painting arabesques becoming very fond of this.

After that she was experimenting how to transpose this beautiful patterns on porcelain and tried several attempts of mixing different type of colors.

At the end she got some interesting results with lustrous and the juxtaposition  of glossy and matt colors.

Here you can see the image she used for the flyer of one event she was involved to.
